Now Offering Juvederm Volbella®
There is some exciting news in the filler world! Allergan has just released their new FDA approved product Juvederm Volbella® XC which is proven to increase lip fullness and correct perioral lines. So what makes this product different? Juvederm Volbella® is a hyaluronic acid filler that includes Vycross, a proprietary filler technology clinically proven to last 1 year in these areas. Because the perioral oral area is very dynamic, subject to the contractive forces of speaking and eating, past fillers tended to last only 3-6 months. The specific formulation of Volbella® makes this a soft and smooth gel appropriate for adding subtle volume to the lips and softening the perioral lines. This makes for a more natural appearance to these areas. Other benefits include less associated lumpiness and swelling given Volbella® is made from a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid and has lower cohesivity than other fillers.
