What Laser Hair Removal Treats
At the Skin and Laser Center of Grosse Pointe, we use Gentle Max Pro for laser hair removal. This state-of-the-art laser is used to treat a wider range of unwanted hair. Gentle Max Pro features a dual-wavelength system for individuals with light skin tones and darker hair. The Candela YAG Laser features a longer wavelength system for individuals with darker skin tones.

How Laser Hair Removal Works
Laser hair removal eliminates or significantly reduces unwanted hair over the course of several treatment sessions. In order to eliminate all of the unwanted hair, it must be caught during the hairs’ active growth cycle. Over the course of 6-8 treatments, laser hair removal treats remaining hair during its growth phase and effectively eliminates it.
Laser hair removal is most effective on dark, coarse hair and is not effective on blonde, white, gray or fine hair.
The Results
Skin tone and hair color vary results for each individual. After the first treatment, reduced hair is typically noticed within 5-10 days. We recommend 6-8 treatments for the best results.
