How Chemical Peels Work
At the Skin and Laser Center of Grosse Pointe, we use medical grade chemical peels that include various alpha-hydroxy acids, such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, and citric acid. Additionally, we offer Betalift (betahydroxy) and Retinoic Acid (Vitamin A) peels.
Peels are categorized as light, medium or deep, depending on the strength of the solution. Our team can recommend a customized treatment plan for you with the appropriate level peel taking into consideration factors including your goals, previous peel treatments and skin type.
Chemical peels are a great option for darker skin or when lasers are not an option for treating pigmentation or uneven skin tone.
