Felicia’s personal skin concerns and family history of skin cancer prompted her to consider a career in medical esthetics. She not only wanted to perform treatments in office, but also help educate patients on what they should be doing at home to care for their skin. She encourages patients to invest in skincare wisely, by looking at the active ingredients and consulting with medical skincare professionals. “Above all else, wear your sunscreen everyday. Expensive serums and creams will only go so far without daily sun protection.” Her two favorites are Elta MD UV Clear and SkinMedica Ultimate Daily Protection.

Sarah has been with the Skin and Laser Center since 2008. She is committed to improving patients’ overall appearance and skin care goals. By combining her extensive knowledge of cosmeceuticals and cosmetic procedures, she is able to educate patients on a successful skincare regimen.
When asked what her can’t-live-without-it product would be, Sarah said SkinMedica Hydrating Complex. “This soothing, nutrient-rich hydrator works easily into any skin care regimen, boosting the effects of your moisturizer. It’s especially helpful during our cold Michigan winters.” As for her favorite procedure, Sarah recommends IPL, especially for its ability to reduce the appearance of sun damage. IPL is especially popular in the fall as it helps to lift those freckles and sun spots acquired during our summer months.
